Conceived and designed by the visionary<\/strong> hotel entrepreneur<\/strong> Ian<\/strong> Schrager<\/strong>, The Rome EDITION opened in 2023<\/strong>, setting a new standard of luxury in Rome, offering various types of experiences<\/strong> of the highest possible quality, from the stay, to the aperitif on the panoramic rooftop, to lunches in the garden and after dinner and glam parties in the two cocktail bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hotel is located a few steps from Via Veneto and near Piazza Barberini, Piazza di Spagna, the Trevi Fountain and the Villa Borghese gardens, the perfect starting point for visiting the Eternal City.<\/p>\n\n\n

EDITION defines a new concept of luxury according to the highest standards of design, art and experiences that can be had within the Hotel.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Built in the 1940s<\/strong> and previously occupied by one of the main Italian banks, the building is a perfect example of rationalist style created by the engineer Cesare Pascoletti in collaboration with the architect Marcello Piacentini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Testimony to their genius is the magnificent central staircase <\/strong>in precious cipollino marble<\/strong> from the quarries of the Apuan Alps and the characteristic original decorations of the time, from the central courtyards, to the lamps and the statues that were maintained during the restoration.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Lobby<\/strong> is the beating heart of sociality characterized by spectacular 7-meter high ceilings with white fabric sofas and tables inspired by Manuel Coltri where you can relax or challenge each other to a game of billiards, the only \u201cluxury\u201d pool table<\/strong>, also available to external guests, in Rome.<\/p>\n\n\n

From the lobby, on the ground floor you enter the ANIMA restaurant<\/strong>, which offers an innovative reinterpretation of traditional Italian cuisine, seasoned with international influences, and the two bars<\/strong>, Punch Room <\/strong>and Jade Bar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Punch Room is an award-winning concept inspired by speakeasies<\/strong> with the mood of English gentlemen’s clubs <\/strong>and dedicated to the signature drink “punch”<\/strong>. Born in the 17th century, traditional punches used new ingredients discovered on trade routes: the five original bases highlight spirits from Europe and the colonies, spices and citrus fruits from Africa and the East, teas from China and India and sugar from the Indies.<\/p>\n\n\n

Jade Bar<\/strong> is a cocktail bar in dramatic floor-to-ceiling antique green marble<\/strong>, with satin brass and gold accents and Jeff Koons-inspired sculptures, where you can order a select range of spirits<\/strong> and seasonal ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the entrance to The Rome EDITION is The Garden<\/strong>, an urban jungle <\/strong>with over 400 plants and a cascade of climbing jasmine on the facade, a bronze canopy, teak sofas and freestanding furniture, lit by lanterns, arranged in the Italian style, giving the feeling of a traditional Roman garden.<\/p>\n\n\n

The hotel also offers The Roof,<\/strong> a rooftop<\/strong> with a swimming pool <\/strong>and a panoramic view<\/strong> of the Pantheon, the Fontana dell\u2019Acqua Paola and the Basilica of Sant\u2019Andrea della Valle where guests can order a drink<\/strong> at the bar or enjoy a swim.
